Job summary

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (CT) at the Miami VA Medical Center performs comprehensive CT exams of the head, neck, spine, chest, and body as per department guidelines, with or without contrast. The role supports radiologists and maintains image quality and patient safety.

Applicants must hold ARRT certifications (R and CT), complete a 24-month radiologic technology program, and demonstrate English proficiency and strong cross-sectional anatomy knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a 24-month or equivalent post-high school radiologic technology program and be accredited.
• ARRT-R radiography certification required; ARRT-CT certification required for CT duties.
• English language proficiency for speaking and writing as per VA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations of head to toe per department guidelines.
• Assist radiologist in CT-guided interventional procedures.
• Transfer CT images to PACS and verify image quality and data integrity.
• Maintain room setup, patient safety, and adherence to infection control standards.
• Prepare contrast materials and monitor patient response during exams.
