Job summary

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (CT) position is in the Diagnostic Imaging Service at the VA Maine Healthcare System located at the Augusta, ME location. This is a full time at 40 hours per week.

Performs Computerized Tomography exams of the head - neck - spine - chest - body - and extremities with CT Angiography, drainages, and biopsies. The technologist must demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and imaging techniques and ensure patient safety and image quality.

Qualifications

• Certification: ARRT Radiography (R) and English proficient.
• Education: 24-month post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program accredited by JRCERT.
• Experience: GS-9 level requires 1 year of relevant CT experience.
• Modalities: CT with advanced certification for CT/MRI/Mammography as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams of head, neck, spine, chest, body and extremities.
• Include CT angiography, drainages, biopsies and 3-D reconstructions.
