Job summary

United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia, seeks a CT technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures in the CT Department. The role rotates through diagnostic radiology as assigned, while maintaining radiation safety and general safety for patients and staff.

The candidate should have a Medical Imaging Program background, ARRT or NMTCB certification within 6 months of hire, and an active radiography license per state requirements. WV licensure is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• ARRT or NMTCB certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board.
• WV license or Nuclear Medicine/ CT license as WV requires.

Responsibilities

• Prepare room and equipment for patient exams with sterile technique.
• Perform examinations per physician orders and document variations.
• Observe patients and equipment and report unusual occurrences.
• Transport and assist patients as needed.
• Utilize PACS to ensure exams are available for radiologist.
• Maintain safety and infection control during procedures.
