Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a CT Technologist I to operate CT equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety. Requirements include 1–2 years of radiologic experience, 2–4 years CT experience in acute care preferred, state licensure, CT certification eligibility within six months, and BCLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical radiologic experience required
• 2-4 years CT Technologist experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
• CT - Computed Tomography certification or eligibility to obtain within six months of hire required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to produce diagnostic images following department protocols.
• Prepares and positions patients using appropriate positioning and immobilization techniques.
• Verifies patient identity, orders, and contraindications prior to examinations.
• Administers contrast media per protocol and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides post-procedure instructions.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure timely, accurate results.
• Reviews images for quality and communicates findings to radiologists.
• Maintains equipment and conducts quality control and safety checks.
