Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will position patients, verify orders, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver timely results.

The role involves administering contrast, performing basic QC on CT equipment, and supporting interventional CT procedures as needed in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical radiologic experience required.
• 2-4 years of CT Technologist experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as required by state.
• CT certification or eligibility within six months of hire.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and processing systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Position patients for CT procedures with appropriate immobilization and comfort.
• Verify patient identity, orders, and screen for contraindications to contrast.
• Perform point-of-care creatinine testing and calculate GFR when needed.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
