Job summary

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to support our radiology department in Missouri. You will review orders, verify patient identity, and perform CT exams with appropriate contrast while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining medical histories, coordinating with radiologists, and documenting procedures accurately.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology and advanced registry in CT within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders on each patient.
• Refer and question orders to Radiologist before exam.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and orient them to procedures.
• Prepare patients with full explanations and document on worksheets.
• Interview patients for complete medical history and review EMRs.
• Record medical history on requisitions and correlate results with exams.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and report any safety issues.
• Monitor patient condition and initiate life support if needed.
• Assist in code blue situations and manage shifts as required.
• Enter orders and charges in the radiology system; document contrast use.
• Keep work area clean and restocked; assist anesthesia when needed.
