Sargent Manufacturing ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Product Test Technician to join our Access & Egress Hardware Team in New Haven, CT, with hybrid work between New Haven and Berlin offices. You will conduct test setups, monitor procedures, and collect data on mechanical and electromechanical products.

You will generate detailed reports, troubleshoot fixtures, review test requests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative methods.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical experience and be able to lift up to 75lbs.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Mechanical inclination and proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment.
• Competency in utilizing force, torque, temperature, and voltage meters.
• Demonstrated innovation and problem solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct test setups, monitoring procedures, and accurately collecting data on mechanical and electromechanical products.
• Generate detailed reports and interpret test results.
• Troubleshoot fixture issues and perform repairs to maintain testing conditions.
• Review test requests and maintain meticulous records of testing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing methods and fixtures.
• Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding test issues and results.
• Maintain a professional and organized lab environment.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
