Sargent Manufacturing ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Product Test Technician to join the Access & Egress Hardware Team. This onsite-hybrid role sits between New Haven and Berlin, CT, focusing on testing mechanical and electromechanical products, collecting precise data, and generating detailed reports.

Responsibilities include setting up tests, monitoring procedures, troubleshooting fixtures, reviewing test requests, and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience required; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Proficient with power tools, hand tools and shop equipment.
• Familiar with force, torque, voltage and temperature meters.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up tests and monitor procedures for mechanical and electromechanical products.
• Generate detailed reports and interpret test results.
• Troubleshoot fixtures and perform repairs to maintain testing conditions.
• Review test requests and maintain meticulous testing records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing methods and fixtures.
• Serve as contact for customers regarding test issues and results.
