Job summary

Sargent Manufacturing ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Product Test Technician to join the Access & Egress Hardware Team in a hybrid onsite role between New Haven and Berlin, CT. You will conduct test setups, monitor procedures, and collect data on mechanical and electromechanical products to ensure quality and reliability.

You will generate detailed reports, troubleshoot fixtures, and maintain records while collaborating with cross-functional teams and serving as a primary contact for customers on test

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience required.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Proficient with power tools, hand tools and shop equipment.
• Competent with measurement meters and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct test setups and monitor procedures for mechanical and electromechanical products.
• Accurately collect data and generate detailed reports.
• Troubleshoot fixture issues and perform repairs to maintain testing conditions.
• Review test requests and reports, maintaining meticulous records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing methods.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers on test issues and results.
• Maintain a professional, organized lab environment.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.
