Job summary

BFS Foods in Beverly, WV is hiring a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to deliver fast, friendly help to shoppers. The role requires interacting with customers, handling transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining store cleanliness under the supervision of the General Manager.

The CSR position is hourly, with the possibility of full- or part-time hours. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and read/write in English while using a computer for store

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, understand, write, and communicate in English.
• Must perform mathematical calculations when completing store forms.
• Able to learn and work on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with fellow employees in a productive manner.
• Be able to work and stand for up to eight hours.
• Check identification and pricing of merchandise.
• Stock shelves and coolers; retrieve merchandise for customers.
• Sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, remove trash, and keep areas clean.
• Clean windows and gas price signs; manage inventory as needed.
• Enter cooler and freezer sections safely; handle 36–40 degree and 0 degree environments.
• Tolerate exposure to cleaning products and sanitizers.

A. Primary Purpose of Job:

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing fast and friendly service to each customer.

B. Duties and responsibilities for this position:

• Cooperate with and interact in a productive way with fellow employees.
• Be able to work and stand for up to eight hours.
• Be able to read, understand, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Be able to perform mathematical calculations when completing store forms.
• Be able to check identification and pricing of merchandise.
• Be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds, carry milk cartons, bag-in-the-box soft drink containers, etc. several times a shift.
• Be able to stock shelves and coolers.
• Be able to retrieve merchandise for customers.
• Be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning products and sanitizing solutions.
• Be able to clean all windows and change gas price signs.
• Be able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, remove and transport trash containers placing them in outside bin.
• Be able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the store.
• Be able to enter and work in a cooler up to 45 minutes at a time, with temperatures of 36-40 degrees.
• Be able to enter and work in freezer up to 10 minutes at a time, at a temperature of 0 degrees.
• Have the ability to learn and work on a computer.

Work Hours

The CSR Position is an hourly position. The work schedule for the position will be the responsibility of the General Manager. There are no guaranteed number of hours per week. This position could be full or part-time. This position requires availability to work on any scheduled shift.
