Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Good work and attendance record.
• Keyboard experience and basic computer skills are required.
• Current AHA BLS Provider training required.
• Ability to take call, work weekends and holidays; flexible hours.
• Must read, write, speak and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory and availability of routine and special order supplies.
• Direct billing of implants responsibilities.
• Expedites, follows up, and reconciles order/invoice discrepancies with vendors and accounting.
• Ensures items received are delivered to the correct person.
• Develops relationships with internal departments and suppliers.
• Creates purchase orders for stock and non-stock items.
• Places orders for stock and non-stock supplies, equipment and repairs.
• Assists in budget preparation and maintains related documentation.
• Ensures Sterile Room deliveries are checked for accuracy.
• Seeks price reductions and cost containment through vendor selection and process improvements.
