Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center in Alabama is seeking an Inventory Specialist to maintain accurate storeroom and warehouse inventory and verify stock levels. You will assist with item placement and stock control to ensure availability for patient care.

You will also support nursing managers with supply locations, add/delete items and users, and train staff as needed. Regular audits help ensure accuracy, cost control, and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience with medical and non-medical supplies.
• Required Registration/License/Certification.
• MVR - deliver to offsite locations as needed.
• Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred).

POSITION SUMMARY

The Materials Management Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining correct storeroom and warehouse inventory by investigating and verifying inventory accuracy to assure proper stock level on shelves. Assists nursing managers/supervisors with supply locations to include adding/deleting supply items, adding/deleting users, user training as needed. Inventory Specialists also perform regular audits of supply locations and inventory.
