Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for CSICU. This Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership in daily unit operations and oversees quality patient care, working with the Nurse Manager to ensure high standards of service delivery.

The role emphasizes Relationship Centered Care, staff coaching, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary teamwork to maintain safe, efficient patient care in the CSICU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Master’s in nursing or health-related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience with some supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads nursing practice using the Professional Practice Model and Care Delivery Model for patient experience.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and models expected behaviors.
• Assists in validating staff round hourly on all patients and provides feedback.
• Communicates patient experience and staff engagement data to the Interdisciplinary Team and develops action plans.
• Collaborates with physicians and escalates concerns; follows up on patient concerns and provides service recovery.
• Supports safe, therapeutic and efficient patient-centered care; leads quality and safety initiatives.
