Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for CSICU to serve as the clinical leader in daily unit operations and quality patient care delivery, in coordination with the Nurse Manager. The role emphasizes relationship-centered care, staff coaching, and continuous improvement.

The candidate will lead Purposeful Hourly Rounding, monitor patient experiences, collaborate with the physician dyad, and escalate concerns as needed, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective care

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current New York State license (RN)
• 3 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS certification(s) required or preferred

Responsabilités

• Leads nursing practice and clinical leadership for CSICU and supports quality patient care delivery.
• Ensures Prototical Hourly Rounding (PHR) and Relationship Centered Care are integrated into daily activities.
• Oversees staff competency in PHR and provides feedback; conducts daily patient rounding in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Communicates patient experience data and staff engagement to the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team; supports action plans.
• Collaborates with physician dyad; escalates concerns as appropriate; supports service recovery as needed.
• Monitors quality and safety metrics; participates in RCA processes; implements corrective actions.
• Oversees unit operations, staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance; maintains patient confidentiality.
