Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the General Medicine Unit. This role leads daily operations, oversees quality patient care, and partners with the Nurse Manager in clinical leadership.

The candidate will drive patient experience through Relationship Centered Care and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Required are an active NY RN license, BSN, and 3+ years of nursing with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required; NY license.
• 3 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS licensing/certifications required (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Leads nursing practice using Professional Practice Model and Care Delivery Model to promote patient experience.
• Ensures proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and models expected behaviors.
• Collaborates with physician dyad and escalates concerns as appropriate.
• Monitors patient safety metrics and implements corrective actions on shift.
• Oversees staffing, workflow and regulatory compliance to ensure high-quality care.
