Qualifications

• Current NBSTSA certification.

• Minimum two years CST experience preferred.
• Minimum two years CSFA experience preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current CSFA certification.

Responsibilities

• Surgical First Assistants assist physicians in surgery and may perform specific surgical tasks under professional supervision.
• Significant surgical tasks include opening and closing sites, exposure, harvesting grafts, dissecting tissue, removing tissue, implanting devices, and altering tissues.
• Perform the CST role when not utilized in the First Assistant role.
