Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Amarillo, TX is seeking a day shift, full-time Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to join our Physician Surgical Hospital team. You will assist surgeons during procedures and perform select tasks under supervision to support patient care.

Qualified candidates hold NBSTSA certification, possess CSFA certification, and have CST experience; current BLS within 14 days of hire; and graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification is required.
• CSFA certification is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Experience as CST and CSFA is preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in surgery and perform tasks under supervision.
• Open and close surgical sites and assist with exposure of the site.
• Harvest grafts, dissect tissue, and remove tissue as directed.
• Implant devices and alter tissues as needed.
• Perform CST role when not utilized as First Assistant.
