Job summary

Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, IN seeks Certified Surgical First Assistants (CSFAs) to support the surgeon in operations, maintain a sterile field, and help ensure safe, efficient patient care. CSFAs must be a CST with CSFA designation and have OR experience, holding a CAAHEP-accredited surgical assisting program, plus NBSTSA CST certification.

This on-site role involves collaboration with anesthesia, adherence to HIPAA, and active participation in ongoing education and quality

Qualifications

• CSFA designation and CST certification required.
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical assisting program.
• Maintain NBSTSA CST certification.

Responsibilities

• Expedite surgical time by assisting the surgeon during procedures.
• Collaborate with anesthesia to promote OR efficiency and expedite turnover times.
• Prepare for operation and judiciously use supplies.
• Willing to be flexible with assignments, call coverage, and hours.
• Follows manufacturer’s guidelines when using or cleaning instruments and equipment.
• Prioritize effectively and participate in quality improvement.
