Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is hiring a Full-Time Certified First Assistant (CSFA) to join the Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View. The CSFA will work alongside the surgeon and OR team to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, tissue exposure, hemostasis, retractors, suturing, and wound closure, supporting optimal outcomes in a six-operating-room ASC.

Qualifications

• CSFA certification is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum High School diploma required.
• Proven experience as a Surgical Assistant with knowledge of surgical anatomy and operative technique.
• Strong technical skills in surgical procedures and instrumentation.],

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during operations by handling instruments, providing tissue exposure, controlling bleeding, holding retractors, and assisting with suturing and wound closure.
• Help maintain efficient surgical workflow and high-quality patient care in a busy ambulatory setting.
• Collaborate closely with the surgeon and operating room team throughout procedures.
