Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of ARC/STSA-accredited surgical assisting program.
• Certified as a surgical first assistant (NBSTSA).
• Maintains CPR certification.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during operations to provide exposure and maintain hemostasis.
• Support the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.
