Job summary

Ardent Health Services seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant for a day-shift, full-time role in Albuquerque, NM. The candidate will assist in intraoperative exposure, hemostasis, and closure, while also handling pre/post-op tasks to streamline the OR.

Requirements include completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and CSFA certification, plus two years of OR scrub experience and a valid BLS credential within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and a recognized Surgical First Assistant program.
• Two years OR Scrub Technician experience.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer between roles.

Responsibilities

• Provides exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative functions to help the surgeon be efficient.
• Performs preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate operating room efficiency.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and sterile field setup.
• Performs functions during operation under surgeon supervision and in accordance with policy and regulations.
