Physicians Surgical Hospitals - Panhandle Surgical Hospital in Amarillo, TX seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for day shift, full-time. The role supports surgeons in the operating room, performing tasks under supervision and ensuring patient safety.

Requirements include NBSTSA certification, CSFA certification, and BLS within 14 days of hire; CST and CSFA experience preferred. Graduates of an accredited Surgical Technologist program are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Previous CST experience preferred (2 years).
• Previous CSFA experience preferred (2 years).
• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current CSFA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in surgery and perform specific surgical tasks under supervision.
• Open/close surgical sites, expose the operative field, harvest grafts, dissect tissue, remove tissue, implant devices, alter tissues.
• Perform CST role when not utilized as First Assistant.
