Job summary

Norton Healthcare seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to assist surgeons with sterile technique, tissue handling, suturing and hemostasis during procedures. The CSFA may hold retractors, suction and sponge the operative site, apply dressings, and provide on-call coverage as required.

Ideal candidates have hospital or payer credentialing in place and hold CSFA/CSA/SAC/MD credentials, plus relevant surgical experience.

Qualifications

• Must have hospital and/or payer credentialing completed before functioning in this role.
• One of: CSFA or CSA or SAC or MD.

Responsibilities

• Holding retractors, suctioning and sponging the operative site, applying dressings, providing hemostasis and suturing.
• On-call services may be required as needed.
