Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso seeks a Cert. Surgical First Assistant-Neuroscience Services to support intraoperative procedures in a busy neuroscience service line.

The role involves assisting exposure, hemostasis, closure and other intraoperative tasks under surgeon supervision, and performing preoperative and postoperative duties to enhance patient care. Applicants should have two years of CST experience, CST and CSA/CSFA certifications, current CPR, and preference for bilingual

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist required.
• Certification: CSA/CSFA/Surgical Assistant or equivalent required.
• Certification: CST required.
• Current CPR training required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist exposure, hemostasis, closure and other intraoperative technical functions.
• Provide aid under surgeon supervision to facilitate safe operations.
• Perform preoperative and postoperative duties to support patient care.
