Job summary

Becklar is seeking a part-time dispatcher to monitor alarms and coordinate rapid response for subscribers. You will handle alarm signals, dispatch authorities, and document actions while working within a 24/7 schedule. Training and software proficiency are required, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Starting pay reflects part-time status, with weekend and holiday shifts expected. No sales involved; focus is on safety and customer support for our subscribers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be available to work Day/Early morning shifts.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
• We are a 24/7 business to protect our subscribers. You must be willing to work 1 weekend day each week or every other weekend and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Process alarm signals quickly, accurately and professionally while managing stressful situations.
• Dispatch the proper authorities to subscribers’ locations in emergencies and verify help is on the way.
• Assist alarm company partners with alarm system tests to ensure alarms are working properly.
• Accurately document all responses for the alarm on the computer.
• Learn and use new software to complete multiple tasks.
• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure accurate handling of alarms and professional growth.

What You’ll Do:

Skills Needed:

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED
• Must be available to work Day/Early morning shifts
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm.
• We are a 24/7 business to protect our subscribers. To ensure each team member gets schedule flexibility you must be willing to work 1 weekend day each week or every other weekend. You also must be willing to work holidays.
• Ability to make a 6 month commitment to work here.
• Must be able to pass a 2 week fully-paid training class.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
