General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works in Maine is seeking an Engineering Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) to provide technical leadership for CS/C4I ship alterations aboard DDG 51 class ships, supporting modernization design, construction, and testing.

The role requires coordinating with NAVSEA, Navy contractors, BIW Class Design, and management, assembling technical data into ship installation packages, and guiding SID development while meeting schedule and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• MS Office products and general PC skills required.

Responsibilities

• Safety leadership and compliance with BIW standards across office, shop, and shipboard environments.
• Serve as Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for Combat System/C4I modernization aboard DDG 51 class ships.
• Interface with NAVSEA, Navy contractors, BIW design teams, and BIW management.
• Assemble technical data and Government Furnished Information into installation packages.
• Develop Ship Installation Drawing (SID) packages and support ship alterations within schedule constraints.
• Write/review Ship Change Documents (SCDs) for assigned Ship Alts; occasional travel required.
