Job summary

General Dynamics - Bath Iron Works is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Fleet Services to ensure safety, quality, and performance standards for shipboard Electrical/Electronic Systems Integration.

You will coordinate with stakeholders to meet milestones and supervise warranty and repair work on DDG51 class ships. The role requires on-call availability, potential travel worldwide, and collaboration with Navy and BIW teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or BIW apprenticeship in a technical field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience supervising shipboard electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety compliance with BIW and government standards.
• Act as onboard Fleet Service representative for system issues and project execution.
• Be on-call 24/7 and travel to support ships as needed.
• Provide support during ship exercises and trials and coordinate subcontractors.
