Job summary

The role requires a BS degree in engineering, at least 10 years in naval ship design or ship repair, and strong leadership, project scheduling, budgeting, and EVMS familiarity. CATIA and AutoCAD experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 10 years of experience in the construction, modernization, and repair of US Navy or commercial ships.
• Strong knowledge of DDG 51 and DDG 1000 ship class and multiple design disciplines.
• Experience with SID development and design management processes.
• Supervisory experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage modernization and repair design work for DDG 1000 planning yard teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, and performance standards across projects.
• Develop and present design metrics and status briefings.
• Oversee design checks, ROM cost estimates, and scheduling.
