Job summary

General Dynamics Bath Iron Works in Bath, ME seeks a Sr. Engineer (Electrical Systems Support), Fleet Services to ensure safety, quality and performance standards across shipboard systems while coordinating with key stakeholders to meet milestones.

You will oversee DDG-51 class onboard electrical and electronic integration, plan and supervise warranty repairs and emergent work, be on call 24/7, travel as needed, and maintain a government security clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or BIW apprentice with shipbuilding experience.
• Undergraduate degree in Marine Eng, Naval Arch, Electrical Eng preferred.
• 5+ years in shipboard electrical/electronic systems integration.
• Experience on DDG-51 class ships.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboard fleet service electrical/electronic systems integration and improvements.
• Coordinate with Ship's Commanding Officer and crew to resolve issues.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise repairs and warranty work on shipboard systems.
• Be on-call 24/7 and travel as needed to support operations.
