Job summary

The US Navy seeks Cryptologic Technicians Interpretive (CTIs) to translate, transcribe and analyze foreign language communications, providing critical intelligence to Fleet and Joint Force commanders. CTIs combine language proficiency with technical analysis to support national security in diverse environments.

After Recruit Training, CTIs complete two language and cryptologic training phases, work with AI/ML systems, and may deploy aboard ships or submarines based on assignment needs.

• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
• Perform temporary duty aboard Navy surface ships and submarines, based on assignment requirements.
