US Navy Cryptologic Technicians Interpretive (CTIs) are highly skilled linguists and intelligence professionals who collect, translate, transcribe and analyze foreign language communications to support national security and fleet operations. They work with classified information and advanced AI/ML systems in shore and on-board environments.

CTIs undergo two phases of language and cryptologic training, may deploy on surface ships or submarines, and are eligible for education opportunities and

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced radio receivers, recording devices, computer terminals and communications systems.
• Translate, interpret and transcribe foreign language communications data.
• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
• Perform temporary duty aboard Navy surface ships and submarines, based on assignment requirements.
