Job summary

The US Navy seeks Cryptologic Technicians Interpretive (CTIs) to serve as linguists and intelligence professionals, collecting, translating, transcribing and analyzing foreign language communications for national security and fleet operations.

CTIs undergo two phases of Navy language and cryptologic training, learn up to six languages, and may perform temporary duty aboard ships or submarines as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced radio receivers, recording devices, computer terminals and communications systems.
• Translate, interpret and transcribe foreign language communications data.
• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning systems.
• Perform temporary duty aboard Navy surface ships and submarines, based on assignment requirements.
