Job summary

The US Navy seeks Cryptologic Technicians Interpretive (CTIs), highly skilled linguists and intelligence professionals who collect, translate, transcribe and analyze foreign language communications to inform national security and operations.

CTIs work at shore-based Centers of Excellence and may deploy temporarily aboard surface ships and submarines, with training through language and cryptologic programs and opportunities to advance in language proficiency and technical analysis.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced radio receivers, recording devices, computer terminals and communications systems.
• Translate, interpret and transcribe foreign language communications data.
• Analyze and report highly technical intelligence for fleet commanders and national intelligence agencies.
• Work with classified material and advanced AI/ML systems.
• Perform temporary duty aboard Navy surface ships and submarines, based on assignment requirements.
