Job summary

IntelliGenesis LLC in Maryland seeks a cryptologic computer science specialist to design, develop, deliver and operate solutions to hard cryptologic computer science problems.

Responsibilities include applying operating systems, compiler theory, database theory, algorithm analysis, computer architecture, discrete math, programming language theory, and data structures to complex problems, supporting cryptologic mission needs and security objectives.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Doctoral degree or 3 years + Master’s; 5 years + Bachelor’s; 7 years + Associate’s considered.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deliver and operate cryptologic CS solutions within a scientific framework.
• Apply CS knowledge to forensics, attribution, network protection, active systems warnings and indicators.
• Utilize OS, compiler theory, database theory, algorithms, computer architecture, discrete math and data structures to solve problems.

Job description

• Design, develop, deliver and operate solutions to hard cryptologic computer science problems within a scientific framework
• Solutions may arise in the forms of forensics and attack attribution, protection of critical networks, active systems warnings and indicators, active penetration into target systems, knowledge discovery of passive and active systems, or other cryptologic computer science mission support
• Requisite computer science skills (operating systems, compiler theory, database theory, algorithm analysis, computer architecture, discrete math, programming language theory, and data structures) are applied to each problem to provide state of the art techniques, tools and approaches

Job Duties

• Design, develop, deliver and operate solutions to hard cryptologic computer science problems within a scientific framework
• Solutions may arise in the forms of forensics and attack attribution, protection of critical networks, active systems warnings and indicators, active penetration into target systems, knowledge discovery of passive and active systems, or other cryptologic computer science mission support
• Requisite computer science skills (operating systems, compiler theory, database theory, algorithm analysis, computer architecture, discrete math, programming language theory, and data structures) are applied to each problem to provide state of the art techniques, tools and approaches

Required Skills

• Active TS/SCI Clearance and Polygraph required
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience and a Doctoral degree or three (3) years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree five (5) years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree required
• Seven (7) years of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree may be considered
• Degree in must be in Computer Science; related fields (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics) may be considered depending on program content
• Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following:
  • Computer systems research
  • Simulation/model development and prototyping
  • Software design
  • Programming
  • Computational science
  • Algorithm analysis and design
  • Reverse engineering
  • Designing/developing computer or information systems including engineering hardware and/or software

Compensation Range: $88,000 - $121,000

Compensation ranges encompass a total compensation package and are a general guideline only and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, candidate’s scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and alignment with local market data.
