Job summary

Robinhood is building out cryptographic services and an in-house card-processing platform to securely handle sensitive financial data. The team values engineers who are eager to learn security concepts and can contribute across software, infrastructure, and operations.

This role is based in Bellevue, WA and Menlo Park, CA with in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week. You’ll design, build, and operate production services, work on encryption/decryption tooling, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Experience building, operating, or supporting production services, distributed systems, or infrastructure.
• Proficiency writing production code in at least one modern language (Python/Go/Java/C#/C++) with ability to reason about complex systems.
• Comfort across software, infrastructure, and reliability domains.
• Clear, concise communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production services and infrastructure for key management, encryption, and decryption.
• Architect, launch, and scale in-house card-processing environment to protect sensitive data.
• Write maintainable production code and build tooling across software, infrastructure, and security controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support migrations and adopt shared cryptographic capabilities.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to maintain availability and security as volume grows.
