Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a cryptographic software team developing mission-critical capabilities for U.S. military crypto products.

You will guide secure embedded software through pursuit, development, release and sustainment, working with software, hardware, FPGA, and systems teams. You will shape technical strategy, hire and mentor engineers, and ensure cost and schedule adherence while delivering high-assurance cryptographic solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in a technical development environment.
• Experience in program execution: bidding, planning, EVM, risk management.
• Embedded software development experience.
• Active and transferable Secret US government clearance required.
• Typically requires STEM degree and 10+ years (or advanced degree with 7+ years).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers from entry to senior levels.
• Support pursuit activities and bid for new programs.
• Oversee staffing, cost and schedule using EV techniques.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
• Drive product line strategy and development best practices.
