Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a cryptographic software team developing mission-critical capabilities for next-generation U.S. military crypto products.

You’ll guide embedded secure software, with NSA review, and shape pursuits from initial phases to sustainment. You will mentor engineers, drive best practices, collaborate across functions, and manage staffing with EV M to ensure cost and schedule in a high-impact role focused on

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration in a technical development environment.
• Experience in program execution, bidding, project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk and opportunity management.
• Experienced with embedded software development.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
