Job summary

zerohash seeks a Product Counsel to shape the legal and product strategy for our cryptocurrency settlement solution. You will advise cross-functional teams on privacy, data security, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance as we scale.

This role requires a J.D., 6+ years of experience, bar admission (preferably Illinois) or eligibility for in-house admission, and a strong interest in blockchain. You will draft user agreements, licenses, and Terms of Service while coordinating with

Qualifications

• J.D. degree with 6+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Bar admission in good standing (preferably Illinois) or eligible to register as in-house counsel in Illinois.
• Familiarity with state and federal consumer financial services laws and data privacy laws.
• Interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Advise product, engineering, IT, business development, marketing and other teams on product development and commercialization, ensuring privacy, data security, marketing, consumer protection, risk management and partner compliance.
• Manage user, services agreements, terms of service, licensing agreements, and other contracts.
• Research legal questions and distill findings for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with in-house and outside counsel on complex regulatory issues.
• Build relationships with outside counsel, partners and regulators to drive business goals.
