Job summary
Alpaca is seeking a qualified candidate for a broker-dealer/financial services operations role. You will monitor daily customer activity, assist with onboarding (KYC and approvals), and support AML investigations while working across workflows and tools in a global remote setup with core hours 9am–5pm PT.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in similar roles, a Bachelor's degree, and familiarity with cryptocurrency, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced regulatory environment and collaborate
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in broker-dealer, financial services, trading or crypto operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency or willingness to learn
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing regulatory environment and fast-paced work
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily customer activity and surveillance.
- Handle daily operational tasks including trading, new accounts, and cash management; crypto trading executions and exceptions.
- Assist with onboarding, including KYC and account approvals.
- Review general ledger accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Support the Anti-Money Laundering program and investigations.
- Drive changes across workflows, policies and tools.
- Communicate with internal and external partners clearly and effectively.
- Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.
- Work in a global remote location with core time around 9am–5pm PT.
