Job summary

Alpaca is seeking an AML/Compliance Analyst to partner with the Chief Compliance Officer for our digital asset platform. You will support AML operations, transaction monitoring, and regulatory compliance for our crypto offerings in a fully remote team environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in AML/compliance within crypto or fintech, strong blockchain knowledge, and proficiency with analytics tools. Join a distributed team building compliant APIs for global clients.

Qualifications

2–5 years in AML/transaction monitoring or financial crimes compliance in crypto/fintech.
Strong understanding of blockchain, digital assets, and AML risks in crypto.
Solid grasp of BSA/AML, OFAC sanctions, and FinCEN guidance for virtual currencies.
Ability to analyze complex data, connect dots, and write clear investigative narratives.
Hands-on experience with blockchain analytics tools and fiat monitoring vendors.
High level of self-motivation to operate in a 100% remote startup environment.
Certifications like CAMS/CGSS or Chainalysis Reactor are a plus.

Responsibilities

Review and disposition daily transaction monitoring alerts (fiat and crypto).
Investigate complex user accounts and blockchain transactions; draft SARs for regulators.
Use on-chain analytics tools to trace cryptocurrency flows and assess illicit risk.
Assist with escalated KYC/KYB reviews, EDD, and OFAC screening.
Tune transaction monitoring rules with CCO and engineering to reduce false positives.
Collaborate with Support, Engineering and Product to embed compliance in the Alpaca API.
