Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a Crypto Operations Associate to support EMEA coverage from a remote location. You will monitor customer activity, run daily trading and onboarding tasks, and help maintain AML controls in a fast-paced crypto-trading environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in broker-dealer/financial services or crypto operations, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. This role follows core US market holidays and aligns with PT business hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading or cryptocurrency operations role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or a strong desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
• Willingness to take ownership of new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and surveil customer activity daily.
• Handle daily operations including trading, new accounts, and cash management.
• Execute cryptocurrency trading and resolve exceptions.
• Assist with customer onboarding (KYC and account approval).
• Review general ledger for discrepancies and reconcile accounts.
• Support AML program and investigations.
• Drive changes across workflows, policies and tools.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
• Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.
• Operate in a globally remote environment with core hours around 9am–5pm PT.
