Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Accounting leader to own the end-to-end accounting for digital assets, crypto activities, and related reporting. You will drive policies, internal controls, and ensure accurate financial statements under US GAAP.

You will partner with Finance, Legal, and Compliance to support regulatory reporting, handling complex transactions and audit readiness in a fully remote, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with cryptocurrency or digital assets is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex accounting topics for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for digital assets and crypto activities, including close and reporting.
• Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for crypto.
• Oversee accounting for digital asset holdings, transfers, fees, and settlements.
• Partner with crypto business leaders to assess products and transactions for accounting impact.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance on regulatory reporting.
• Drive process improvements and automation to scale with growth.
• Lead external financial statement audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Address audit findings and remediation, strengthening processes.
• Support regulatory examinations and inquiries with Legal/Compliance.
• Act as a technical accounting resource on complex transactions under US GAAP.
• Prepare memoranda outlining guidance, conclusions, and impacts.
• Advise leadership on accounting implications of new products/agreements.
• Monitor changes in standards and coordinate new practices.
