Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Manager to navigate complex transactions under U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting. You will draft memos, advise partners, and implement policies across cross-functional teams in a fast-growing cloud and AI environment.

You will own accounting for business combinations, debt and equity instruments, leases and revenue arrangements, lead M&A accounting, and build scalable controls while communicating clearly to executives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical accounting experience under U.S. GAAP, with financing, consolidations, derivatives, stock-based compensation and business combinations

Responsibilities

• Draft memos and analyses to support management conclusions and audits
• Evaluate and operationalize accounting for complex transactions including equity offerings and convertible debt
• Review lease transactions and revenue arrangements with cross-functional teams
• Lead accounting for M&A and strategic investments and assist with fair value measurements
• Perform impairment analyses for goodwill and intangibles
• Develop and maintain accounting policies reflecting current standards
• Monitor FASB/SEC developments and implement SOX-compliant processes
• Prepare executive-level technical accounting updates and disclosures
• Mentor accounting staff and support ad hoc technical requests
