Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach is seeking a skilled test engineer to design, build, and operate pressurized test systems for rocket testing. You will manage real-time data control, guide engineers on best practices, and prioritize hazard mitigation to maintain a safe, efficient lab environment.

The role requires hands-on hardware work, experience with multi-energy systems, and collaboration across teams to advance the Terran R program. 50-hour weeks with overtime are common.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience working with pressureized flight components.
• Operating hazardous equipment with multiple energy sources.
• Building complex fluid-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate pressurized cryogenic/pneumatic/hydraulic systems for rocket testing.
• Develop and manage advanced data control systems for real-time monitoring and analysis.
• Provide expert guidance to engineers on testing best practices and system capabilities.
• Identify and mitigate hazards to ensure a safe testing environment.
• Create, maintain, and refine test plans and procedures for reliable outcomes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reliability issues to improve hardware performance.
