Job summary

CTR Cryo is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement Manager in Rock Hill, SC to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for cryogenic materials and components. You will collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure timely, cost-effective material supply that meets strict quality and safety standards.

The role requires 5–7 years in manufacturing procurement, strong negotiation and ERP/MRP experience, and the ability to read mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, with progression of responsibility.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and supplier development.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust procurement strategies; identify and evaluate reliable domestic and international suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
• Qualify, audit, and manage vendors; evaluate on-time delivery, material quality, pricing, and responsiveness.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms; ensure contracts comply with regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors; monitor performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with production and inventory teams to forecast demand and plan procurement; maintain optimal stock levels.
• Analyze ERP/MRP to ensure timely material arrival to meet production schedules.
• Ensure all procured items meet engineering specs, quality standards, and safety regulations; coordinate with quality team.
• Track budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities; drive efficiency improvements in purchasing processes.
• Oversee daily procurement staff; mentor team; explore new procurement software or ERP systems.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
• Act as liaison between engineering and suppliers to ensure product compliance with drawings and specs.
