Job summary

Messer Americas is seeking a skilled on-site Project Manager for cryogenic and non-cryogenic systems installation and maintenance across the United States. You will oversee piping, welding, and electrical troubleshooting, coordinate with customers and sales teams, and manage both Messer and third-party resources on site.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years experience in cryogenic work, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel up to 50% to complete installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years of cryogenic installation and maintenance (or comparable) experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain bulk cryogenic and non-cryogenic systems (N2, O2, Ar, CO2, H2, He) in the assigned coverage area.
• Perform piping/plumbing, brazing, welding, valve and regulator installation, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers and sales team during start of new installations or upgrades.
• Manage Messer resources and third-party contractor resources on site installations.
• Lead toolbox talks and ensure adherence to Messer safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with CES Project Managers to order equipment and meet regional codes and site needs.
• Ensure on-site labor resources are available and aligned with maintenance and delivery requirements.
• Assist with site integration quotes and track time/materials in Messer systems.
• Oversee scope of work, handle changes, and provide project management and site handoff.
