Job summary

Messer is seeking a field service technician to maintain and service cryogenic product supply equipment at customer sites. You will handle gas delivery systems such as N2, O2, Ar, CO2, Hydrogen, and Helium, cover a defined area, and support installations and repairs with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role requires self-motivation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently, with occasional after-hours work and travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Regularly maintain gas delivery systems (storage tanks, vaporizers, control panels, telemetry) for N2, O2, Ar, CO2, Hydrogen and Helium in the assigned area.
• Assist with customer station tank installations and removals as needed.
• Perform corrective maintenance service calls to keep installations running effectively.
• Serve as the face of Messer with customers, providing technical support during Bulk installation contracts and identifying efficiency improvements.
• Act as a technical resource to support the sales organization during customer calls.
• Follow Messer safety policies and maintain inventory control ($50K–$150K).
• Work independently at customer sites, including occasional evening/weekend calls and 5–10% overnight travel.
