Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Fluids Engineer in Launch Hardware Engineering to design, build, and activate complex fluid systems for launch pads, test sites, and production facilities. You will apply thermodynamics, fluid flow, and control theory to create reliable cryogenic and high-pressure fluid systems, and you will model piping via CAD tools while performing stress analyses.

You will collaborate across civil, structural, electrical, controls, and operations teams, lead fabrication and commissioning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with fluid systems or process engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and activate cryogenic, high pressure, oxygen-clean, hydraulic, or other fluid systems to support launch and processing.
• Model piping assemblies using CAD software and perform piping stress analysis.
• Read and develop detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams of complex fluids systems.
• Coordinate with engineers from other disciplines to establish a complete system design.
• Manage fabrication and installation of fluid systems during on-site construction and testing.
