Chart Industries designs and builds cryogenic equipment and offers challenging careers. We are seeking an independent, results-oriented technician to provide service, training, and technical support for cryogenic applications, including mobile units, at Chart–New Prague, MN facility.

The role requires 80% travel, welding (MIG/TIG), reading electrical and plumbing schematics, and installation of equipment such as bulk tanks, pipes, and skids.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in welding, maintenance or related fields.
• Preferred 2+ years of welding (TIG) and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical and plumbing schematics; strong customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, quality service to customers by phone or site visits.
• Coordinate with manager on customer communication.
• Prepare detailed service reports.
• Maintain tools and test equipment used for commissioning/service.
• Coordinate contact with all levels of supervision.
• Troubleshoot control systems.
• Read electrical schematics and use troubleshooting tools.
• Read plumbing schematics.
• Coordinate, perform and report testing results.
• Adhere to contractual service agreements.
• Perform quality tests per instructions.
• Weld using MIG and TIG in field conditions.
• Install equipment including bulk tanks, pipe, vaporizers, skids, dosers.
• Observe ISO 9000 standards.
• Observe safety procedures.
