Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking an independent, results-oriented technician to provide service, training, and technical support for cryogenic applications, including mobile units from the D&S Division in New Prague, MN. The role requires travel to customer sites and hands-on installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.

Preferred candidates have TIG welding experience, mechanical maintenance background, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in welding, maintenance, or automotive/diesel/heavy equipment related.
• Two or more years of field service or industrial maintenance experience.
• TIG welding experience preferred; ability to read electrical and plumbing schematics.
• Ability to work in teams and independently; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, quality service to customers by phone or on-site visits.
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintain test equipment.
• Coordinate communications across supervision levels and with management.
• Troubleshoot control systems and read electrical/plumbing schematics.
• Install equipment including tanks, pipe, vaporizers, skids, and dosers.
• Adhere to safety procedures and ISO 9000 standards.
